Putin Is Evil! Or, Is He?

Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was born on October 7th, 1952 in what is today called St. Petersburg. Actually, it was called Leningrad during the Soviet Era. He came from a simple family and showed promise and intelligence as a young boy. He was also very athletic and excelled in sports which would explain his starting Judo at the age of eleven and continuing on in that discipline for the rest of his life. He holds a law degree from Leningrad State University which he attained in 1975, and he speaks fluent German. That comes from the fact that he also was a KGB Officer assigned to Dresden from 1985 to 1990. He got into Russian politics in 1996 and was appointed Prime Minister by then President Boris Yeltsin in 1999 culminating in him becoming Acting President that year. He was first elected to the Russian Presidency in March of 2000 and was re-elected in 2004. From 2004 to 2012, he was Prime Minister. According to Fox News and just about any other Western news agency, whether they be in America or across the pond, Putin is a dictator and has territorial ambitions. After all, just look at Ukraine? And, how many prophecy wannabes in the Church are all predicting how Putin is in Syria not to help Bashar al- Assad, but to stage an end of the world attack on Israel. Last but not least you have Jean Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission wanting to create an E.U. Army to counter “Russian Aggression”. In reality, He and the rest of the leaders of the E.U. want an E.U. Army because the European Union is dying, and they are desperate to save it even if it takes force. They just want to use the Russian Federation as an excuse for doing so. And, of course, we are told ad nauseum in the Western World by leaders and press alike that Putin is the real evil on the earth today. Yes, according to them, he is Hitler incarnate and the Ukraine is like Poland in 1939. Putin and the Russian Federation are the greatest threat to world peace, supposedly. Funny how they never say ISIS or Islam is a threat to world peace even though there have been numerous terrorist attacks in the past few months all in the name of Islam and ISIS has claimed responsibility for them all.
First, the Word of God and relying on the Holy Spirit should be the first sources anyone relies on to discern the reality of an individual and of situations whether they are on a personal, local, or national level. Hebrews 4:12 (KJV, throughout) 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 1 John 4:1 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Lastly, another verse if Mr. Putin is to be examined fairly is Matthew 7:20 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Well, are they correct? Is Mr. Putin a modern Hitler or Stalin on the earth today? Taking a look at what has happened in Syria and the Ukraine is a good place to judge whether or not Mr. Putin is the warmongering devil many in the West and chiefly Obama and John McCain make him out to be.
The present situation with ISIS in Syria has at last stabilized with the Assad regime taking back huge swaths of the country that ISIS had previously overrun. The Russians also successfully took out the financial means of ISIS through attacking and destroying key oil installations they had captured from the Syrian Government. It goes without saying that ISIS would have used the money from these installations for; they would have used those funds to bankroll terrorist activities in other parts of the world, chiefly Europe and their preferred target, the United States. What has the United States done under its first Sunni Muslim President? Basically, Obama has close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and his administration, working with the Muslim Brotherhood, got the whole Arab Spring sprung in December of 2010 in Tunisia. The movement then spilled over into Lybia, Egypt, and Syria. In fact, Morsi, who took over from the ousted Mubarak in Egypt, is Muslim Brotherhood. After Libya’s Qadaffi was expelled and executed, the Obama Administration took huge stockpiles of weapons from Libya and put them into the hands of the rebels fighting President Assad. In September of 2015, President Putin went to the Russian Duma and asked permission to begin military operations against ISIS in Syria. Thanks to President Putin’s action and the heroic efforts of the Russian military, ISIS in Syria is effectively destroyed. I am sure a great many Christian Syrians are thankful to the Russians as well considering that the U.S. and Europe would not give them asylum even though they, more than anyone else, were in peril from ISIS.
The war in the Ukraine is another example where one can see that Putin is being portrayed as the great evil. That is not accurate, but Western propaganda does not really care about the truth only the narrative they are commanded to push. The story really revolves around how Ukrainians who backed Yulia Tymoshenko wanted to join the E.U. and the rest of the country under then Prime Minister Vicktor Yanukovych wanted to have stronger ties with Russia. Yanukovych withdrew the Ukraine’s E.U. application in 2013 and riots erupted. In actuality, the U.S. government and E.U. bureaucrats in Brussels actually are the ones who, through their covert channels, lit the powder keg. They are the ones who are acting like Hitler did in 1939 with Poland because they are the ones that want a launch point against Russia because Russia is the great threat to their power and plans for the world. It is also worth noting that both NATO and the U.S. have sent “advisors” to the Ukrainian military as they fight the pro-Russian forces in Ukraine which are known as Novorossiyans. Yet, they prattle on that the Russians are involved in an “evil” way in the Ukraine. Yet NATO’s involvement in supporting the pro-E.U. government is portrayed as “righteous” (as if there is anything righteous about the E.U.) Additionally, Crimea voted in March of 2014 to become part of Russia. Yet this democratic vote has led to Russia being sanctioned by the West.
What you do not hear about in the West, neither from it’s press or leaders, is how the Ukrainian army has committed atrocities in the western regions of the country which is predominately pro-Russian. If a foreign military tried to annex Mexico, which would in turn mean threatening America, the U.S. would be doing exactly what the Russians are doing with respect to the Ukraine. No, Russia does not want to give its potential opponent, the U.S. and the E.U., operating together under NATO, the upper hand should the Western powers decide that Russia would better be served by bending to their will. No, if the readers of this article want to blame anyone for the tensions in the Ukraine they need look no further than the U.S. and its co-conspirators, the E.U., for turning Ukraine into the mess it is today and indeed starting another Cold War that could turn hot at any moment.
So far from President Putin being a modern day Hitler or Stalin, he is the only world leader today who has done anything to paralyze ISIS. Also, many Ukrainians want to be closer to Russia due to ethnic and cultural ties. And as far as the pro-European Union Ukrainians, they might want to look at how becoming an E.U. member nation means losing your sovereignty and joining a failed currency. Finally, contrary to how Putin is portrayed by many “prophecy teachers”, and I use that term loosely, as the great Israel Hater, his government and Israel have been drawing ever closer together as this article points out. http://atimes.com/2016/05/russia-seeks-bigger-middle-east-role-through-alliance-with-israel/ In many ways, President Putin did a real act of kindness towards Israel in defeating ISIS in Syria; what they had in mind for Israel does not need explaining. So judging by his fruit and looking at the fruit of the Western leaders, he is not the great evil on the earth today. In reality . . . they are!
